update: Right Click Export to Excel (rcxx) does work just fine in 524, in either cgi isapi or servlet, as long as method = get and in selfserv.
Its MRE where it doesn't work. has nothing to do with servlet. whew!

Well, i have a question -
First off, I never even knew you could right click on HTML output and "export to excel" so never tried it in any version -
but...
Why don't you just PCHOLD your output to excel in the first place?
