I am guessing there is a very simple way to do this without the need for hold files.
I have a simple table: Dept, Year and Charges. I want to report Years going across, dept going down. I want to show the dept charges as well as the % those charges are of all Depts for the year.
This is easy to do in a pivot but I want this on a WF dashboard.
Whats the best way to handle the % part?
Using CAR as an example, I'd want to add Sales to the report below a second time but have it show the % of the total for all countries.
TABLE FILE CAR SUM CAR.BODY.SALES BY LOWEST CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD ON TABLE NOTOTAL ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON ON TABLE SET STYLE * INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/endeflt.sty, $ ENDSTYLE ENDThis message has been edited. TABLE FILE CAR SUM CAR.BODY.SALES PCT.CAR.BODY.SALES/I6% BY LOWEST CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD ON TABLE COLUMN-TOTAL AS 'TOTAL' ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON ON TABLE SET STYLE * INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/endeflt.sty, $ ENDSTYLE END
Might be rounding. I tried it with RCOST which is a D field and got a 100.
SUM RCOST PCT.RCOST BY COUNTRY
If you have an I or P field try redefining them to D.
DEFINE FILE CAR NEW_SALES/D12.2=SALES; END TABLE FILE CAR SUM NEW_SALES PCT.NEW_SALES BY COUNTRY ENDThis message has been edited. Last edited by: BabakNYC,
