I am having difficulty using a WHERE clause or MULTI select in a report that is using different master files:

TABLE FILE SALES&var_nb
SUM AMT
BY PRODUCT
BY COUNTRY

WHERE ( SALES&var_nb.TABLE_CNTRY&var_nb.COUNTRY EQ &COUNTRY.(OR(FIND SALES&var_nb.TABLE_CNTRY&var_nb.COUNTRY,SALES&var_nb.TABLE_CNTRY&var_nb.COUNTRY IN SALES&var_nb)).COUNTRY.);

where &var_nb can be 1 or 2 or 3 or 4. This is selected from a HTML frontend.

The WHERE clause is not working. Please, does anyone know if this is possible to implement and how it can be done.

Thanks.

You may need to add an extra "." after each reference to &var_nb in your WHERE statement.

Best way for you to debug this is to add:

-SET &ECHO=ALL;

And start evaluating exactly how your &variable is being resolved and what actual WHERE statement is being sent to FOCSTACK.
