DEALER_CO/I11= IF DEALER_COST GT 1000 THEN 1 ELSE 0;

I'm in need of using the above DEFINE fields as FOR in the report.
 
           DEALER_COST   RETAIL_COST
          ---------------------------
 COUNTR     100              200
 CARS        200             300

My concern here is in order to use FOR as we need to have the DEFINE fields under one column.
Is the logic that I'm trying is correct but I definitely have DEFINE fields for which I need the FOR logic..
Any suggestions is appreciated..

msam, your define fields may have data from the other define fields, there fore you will not be able to do this with one DEFINE and a TABLE FILE.

MY suggestion is to TABLE COUNTR, CARS STS SLS separately into an APPEND file, then you can do your report.

I also think that this could be done with Macgyver, but the first suggestion would be simpler to understand and maintain.
