Hi,

Without COMPUTE field, the code works for any number of WITHIN phrase.

But, when you have a COMPUTE field (plus WITHIN) , the other WITHIN phrases are ignored and the output seems to get generated based on the COMPUTE's WITHIN phrase.

Here are the repro code and i expected both results to be same.

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SEATS WITHIN COUNTRY
SALES WITHIN CAR NOPRINT
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
END

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SEATS WITHIN COUNTRY
COMPUTE SALES/I10 = 0; WITHIN CAR NOPRINT
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
END

Did anyone ever encounter any similar issue?

That is strange behaviour...

I don't know why, but I do know how to fix it...
...but I don't know why this fixes it. :-)

Added extra 'SALES WITHIN CAR NOPRINT'.

Thanks Dave Smiler. That fixed the issue.

The other workaround i had was to have COMPUTE as the 1st field followed by the real field. Fortunately, it worked for me with my original report code.
But, with CAR master it crashed the agent Confused
