Good Afternoon, Is there a limit of nested IFs within a define? And what is the limit of how many defines we can use in a report? Thanks in advanced. Karin
First, I assume you mean nested IFs within a single computed field in a DEFINE. A long time ago it was 16 nested IFs within a single computed field. I am not sure if it is still that way or not.
Second, is there a limit to the number of computed fields in a DEFINE? Since a DEFINE'd field is not counted unlessed referenced by the TABLE request or another DEFINE field, it would depend on the number of data fields in your request and data field length. In 7.7 the length of all data fields in a request is 256K and the number of fields is 1024 (495 in a MATCH request).
