We recently upgraded to version 7.6.8 from version 7.1.7. During our testing phase in pre-production my users are going to run both versions of Developer Studio. I know you have to run the DevStudioXX/bin/thisfoci.bat before using the associated version of Developer Studio. Several of my users are running into issues when they try to run the 71 version of the .bat file. Developer Studio displays the initial start up box, but quickly goes away.

They get a message in the command prompt that says " user anyusername is not authorized to start workspace manager". These users are not administrators of their own machines if that makes a difference. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Have them go into ibi\DevStudio7x\utilities and execute import_reg.bat and see if that helps.
