the new release of Java we're all being prompted to install (12/08) is a hot mess. the SunJava Console is gone from the ie Tools menu, the only way to get to the java console is to open MRE and when the orange box shows up and stays forever, you can get to the java console from your task bar...but if you try to do anything, the entire box locks up. Do any of you wizards have a way to get to the SJC directly? Or any comments at all? molto grazie. -s

Luckily said release told me that it would not install as my country was proscribed from benefitting from US technology as it was a potential aggressor.
So you had the British Invasion in the 60's and now prepare for the real invasion Yankee Imperialists!

ok i don't hate 1.6.0_11 as much anymore i found that when you open MRE, before you type in your id/pw, that's the time to open the java console which is *now* in your active icon tray.
so Waz, are you not getting incessantlyprompted to download the upgrade? or, like John, are you considered by Sun to be a resident of a dangerous country?

I love a SUNburnt country, A land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges, Of drought and flooding rains, I love her far horizons, I love her jewel sea, Her beauty and her terror - The wide brown land for me.
