[CLOSED] chaining issue in 7703 !!!
Hi,
I want to Chain 2 controls CAR and MODEL using the javascript in 7703 version.
The "populateDynamicCtrl" doesn't work in 7703 as we have ibirls3.js which doesnt support the above function.
I have gone through the forum and tried different methods but didnt get any luck..
Any suggestion on which function in Javascript would be appreciated for 7703 V..

Regards,
SAMM

Hi Samm

Why do you want to use javascript etc? You can just drag and drop and chain two controls in HTML composer.

It can be done, but there is no longer a public function in ibirls3 for that. Instead, you need to override some of the functions in ibirls3 with your own.

I replied with our solution to someone in these forums in the past, if you search using the function name you mentioned you should be able to find it.

Note that I wrote those functions for 7.6.11, so it's quite possible that the functions I override have matured a little - don't blindly copy them from that post Wink
Plus, it's totally unsupported by IBI, of course.

We do not support direct use of our JavaScript functions since they are our source code and may change from release to release. There is a documented API that has functions you may use. Please read the HTML Composer documentation for a complete description of these functions.
