Does the linked maintain app have to use the same dataset as the calling report? I need to load and modify a different dataset based on values selected in the calling report, but I can't see examples of this.

The databases do not need to be the same. I believe we are just passing the key values from the report into the Maintain.

I am currently working on an example. I will follow up as soon as possible.

I think the problem is how I've set it up. I have three files. A fex that shows the base list with html references to the mnt file:

The mnt file and html files are both named clinic_resources:

Progress (of a sort). Putting the report on the html page with the maintain procedure caused some good thing and bad things to happen. It created a new html page (a duplicate). Better still, when I run it says "Item does not exist, IBFS:/WFC/Repository/SpecialtyClinics/SpecialtyBudgetedAppointments/rltemp1(the page it created).htm". I click OK and it runs the non-existent page. Clicking a link gets me "(FOX03849) Compiled maintain image not loadable: Request10".

Killed the html page and rebuilt it. Now it's just the image not loadable message.

I created a new example and document to go through the step by step directions for being able to drilldown from a report to a Maintain procedure. In this case the report and the Maintain are on the same form. If anyone else would like this document please let me know at Mark_Derwin@ibi.com.

A technique to have them on separate HTML pages is coming, but not available in 8203.
