Hi

We in WebFOCUS generally have names as alphanumeric + underscore up to 63 characters.

However there are exceptions and this topic attempts to list those so people might be aware of them since they dont always create an obvious error message!

1. Labels in DM have max of 12
2. Fields in FOCUS dbs with FIELDTYPE=I have a max of 12.
3. DDNAME for IN FILE has max of 8
4. !IBI.FIL.ibihtmlfile
ibihtmlfile has limit of 12
5. !IBI.AMP.ibiamper - similar limit of 12

Please feel free to add so we have a resource to fall back on in times of panic

5. Directory names in Dev Studio can be no longer than 18 characters.

Webfocus functions can only be 8 long and dummy arguments can be a max of 12 long.
