Hi,

i need to show a text of about 200 characters in the footer of the report. but the problem is that i am not able to wrap the footer, and it extends beyond the page width.

What are the possible ways in which footer can be wrapped (NOT TRUNCATED).

regards
CD

For PDF reports, you can use

TYPE=FOOTING, WIDTH=value, $

where value is the number of units (default is inches).

Another alternative is to use the PARAG and GETTOK functions to divide the text into two fields
that you place on separate lines. That will work in all formats.
I would suggest that you specify a length for the paragraph as being just under your line length.

DEFINE FILE MOVIES
PARAGS/A40 = PARAG(39, TITLE, '|', 25, PARAGS);
SUB1/A25=GETTOK(PARAGS, 40, 1, '|', 25, SUB1);
SUB2/A25=GETTOK(PARAGS, 40, 2, '|', 25, SUB2);
END
TABLE FILE MOVIES
PRINT TITLE
BY MOVIECODE
ON MOVIECODE SUBFOOT
"<SUB1"
"<SUB2"
END
