I have an SQL passthru that performs a union operation. I do a TABLE FILE SQLOUT and save the output as ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT FOCUS. I again perform some operations on this HOLD file and do a ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTMTABLE. The report works fine when I run it. But, When I OLAP enable this report , it does not work!
How would I get around this problem?

Create a synonym for the sql statement. To do this, create a file (xxx.sql) and put it on the file system where the WFRS is located. Then go to create a new synonym in either Dev Studio or the WFRS console. When you create a new synonym, select external SQL scripts as the source. Once a master has been created for the sql statement, you should be able to olap enable the report that is driven from it with no issues.

You should not use HTMTABLE for OLAP as it does not generate the required javascript.
To see what I mean do a view source against the outputs from the following examples
-OLAP ON TABLE FILE CAR PRINT DEALER_COST BY COUNTRY BY CAR BY MODEL ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML END
and
-OLAP ON TABLE FILE CAR PRINT DEALER_COST BY COUNTRY BY CAR BY MODEL ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT HTMTABLE END -RUN -HTMLFORM HOLD -* This is the correct way to display HTMTABLE output -* PCHOLD FORMAT HTMTABLE is not valid as it generates an incomplete HTML document, It's only the table.
