Hi everyone,

Could someone explain, how can I pass parameters from one HTML to another and tell WebFOCUS to capture them?

Is there any possibility to have an example of this scenario?

I'm using HTML Layout Painter to design my dashboards (eg.: dash_A and dash_B ).

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do but you can use cookies to pass values between pages or you can parse the URL parameters. It might help if I knew exactly what you were trying to do...

You can launch mypage2.htm form mypage1.htm like so: http://servername/mypage2.htm?parm1?parm2?parm3

Then in mypage2.htm you can "split" the string like so:

var args = location.search.substr(1).split("?");
var arg1 = unescape(args[0]);
var arg2 = unescape(args[1]);
var arg3 = unescape(args[2]);

If you have input parameters for a fex in mypage2.htm you can set the value of that input to arg1, arg2, or arg3.... HTH

Another approach would be to make your second page a fex with an htmlform in it and pass the amper variables from the first page into the "VALUE" property of a hidden input field in the -HTMLFORM. See sudo code below.
