WFSCOM:WEBSERVER IS Not accessible

I am trying to add a new webfocus environment to Dev Studio.
When I use localhost as HostName/Ipaddress it works perfectely fine.
However when I use the system name or the ip address I get the error above i.e.:

WFSCOM:WEBSERVER IS Not accessible

What could be the reason for this?

Is there a web server on the server ?

Firewall issues ?

Port number correct ?

Probably many more things to look at.

Please find below to images:

This shows the error message I get when I use the ipaddress of hostname.

This image shows that if I use "loaclhost" as the servername everything works fine.

Isn't localhost the Tomcat web server installed on your PC when you installed Dev Studio?

I tried :
http://localhost:8080/

It comes with a message that tomcat has been configured properly.

But when I use http://170.93.181.128:8080

It comes up with Internet explorer cannot display webpage.

chadel,

localhost is most likely your PC, but 170.93.181.128 is most likely not - two different machines, so that's why you get different results.

Sometimes web servers are port 80 (which is the case where I work - the server is port 80, but my localhost is 8080).
