TAMU-C,

Active Reports is a licensed option.

1. Go to your server: http://SERVER:8121/ press enter
2. Click on Workspace, Configuration
3. Under General, double-click License

You will see:

   License Number
   License Number for Active Reports
   Site Code Number

If License Number for Active Reports is empty, you need to contact your IBI representative or your in-house administrator for the code, if purchased...

Tom

Does this accurately depict/represent your problem(from IBI Technical Support):

quote:

Symptom:

The following error is received when running Active Reports:

"No valid license key found for Active Reports (AHTML). Please contact your
WebFOCUS administrator."

Problem:

The reports had been running correctly. The error suddenly appeared within
the past few days.

Solution:

Active Reports requires its own license key and must be purchased. If you are
running against the local WebFOCUS Developer Studio Server, the reports
will work. This was done so that you would have a chance to develop Active
Reports and evaluate the feature. However, to run Active Reports in a full
WebFOCUS environment, you must purchase this feature.

yes.
Within the last week I received the license code from IBI for Active Reports and have followed the 3 step process:

License Number
License Number for Active Reports
Site Code Number

-*--------- Re-start Workspace
But the error message still appears:

No valid license key found for Active Reports (AHTML).

Am I leaving out a step.

thanks.

TAMU-C,

The code cannot go on this site, but, it is a 6-digit code...

If this is what you have in Active Reports box, then I suggest you recycle the server...

also make sure that you are saving after entering the license code (the button immediately above that says "Save License Number for Active Report and Restart). Sorry if that sounds too easy, but having worked as a support person, I've run into the issue. Additionally, I don't know if you may be running multiple WF servers, (we do at my site) and you should make sure that the license key is entered for all servers on platforms for which you are licensed.

Darin

The 30452038 document is dated 2/2007. I recall an announcement a few months back that Active Reports is going nonbillable. Or am I dreaming?
