We are using mainframe FOCUS V7.6.13. on IBM, Z/OS. Management is considering implementing IBM Endeavor change management tool. Was wondering if anyone is using this and if it can be used with the FOCUS code. This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Emily McAllister>,
In this instance, CheriLG opened a case with Tech Support to discuss this issue. But for future reference:
FOCUS does not have a direct connection (e.g. interface) to CA-Endeavor. FOCUS files should not behave any differently from other files but as CA-Endeavor is not our product we cannot make any guarantees that it will work. If you are interested in using this or any other third-party Change Management services you will need to turn to that company for assistance in configuring their software.
Mainframes, Mainframe FOCUS and CA-Endeavor have been around a very long time. It would be nice if Information Builders would be more knowledgeable about how these two products can work together.
Meanwhile, I've been waiting since WebFOCUS 5.3.2 for a Change Management tool that can work with WebFOCUS, and, nada.
