Is there a way to determine which portal page is currently active or which portal page a report belongs to from inside of a report? We currently have a portal set up that has a parameter form in place of the top banner, and we want to be able to change this parameter form slightly depending on which page of the portal the user is currently on.

Feel free to ask questions for further clarity,
Matt

What we have is a bit of javascript in the parameter form that "exposes" the document of the parameter HTML to the parent frame.

e.g.
parent.MyHTMLParmsPage = window ;

You can then reference in your resulting report
e.g.
parent.MyHTMLParmsPage.{do something}

This works for us in 8.1.04

There may be better ways to do it in 8.2

Thanks for the response, Waz! That's definitely a clever solution, and I think it will get the job done for us.

I want to keep this thread open in case someone knows of a more direct solution to this problem or has any other ideas.

Thanks again!
