In SQL/Server there is an option for Processor Affinity to select what processors to utilise. Does anyone know if there is an equivalent in WF? I.E. If you have a quad core, but WF is only licensed for dual core , then a way to ensure that WF only utilises dual core by selecting Processors.
As always, check with your local account rep, but the licensing for WF (especially on Wintel platforms) is that if the box has a quad processor, WF must be licensed for a quad processor. I've never seen it licensed any other way on that platform, regardless of what it's configured to use.

Darin

Correct, if you install on a quad cpu machine with a two cpu license, the install process will flag this as an invalid license. As far as I know, there is no setting in the product to ensure it will always run on processor 1 or 2, but not on 3 or 4. As Darin states, contact IBI to verify this (I have been known to be wrong before).
