I don't know if I am being just thick here.

Installing a WF 8004 Client on a Win2008 R2 I do not seem to be able to get it to find Java.

>java -version
java version "1.7.0_45"

PATH,CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME, JDK_HOME all set... Tomcat 7 up and running.

The installer finds the Tomcat7 but then has a problem with the JDBC connection and comes up in the Pre-install Summary with:

Path to Java:     ‪Java: 1.6.0_25;

Which then must be(?) the bundled Java as there is no 1.6.0_25 on the box.

So, any pointers in what obvious am I missing? Where does the install "read" the Java off of?

check the path C:\program files \Java

R u using it on 64-bit or 32-bit.

If it is 64-bit, the path will be

C:\program files (x86)\Java

Addition to Kamesh comments, your Environment variables->path must have

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_45\jre\bin\client

OK, wait, so... I am running 64 bit. Java installed is 64-bit... (and it installed to Program Files/Java)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.45-b08, mixed mode)

And the x86 is... a backwards compatible 32-bit Java. Hum... I think I'll have a long day ahead...

Just thinking what I have downloaded... the x86-64 ...or did I goof up there? *Groan*
