when installing rcaster/wf client you are requested the type of repository
it was set to db2 for the installation
all this worked without problems
we cloned the linux machine to a new machine and now want to use a different FOCUS repository (files)
In the doc I could not find how to define a new type of repository without going through install again
Any doc/note that could help for this
thanks for all update/help
best regards, guy przytula

You are going to have to reinstall RC on the Linux machine with the type of repository that you want and then do a migration from your previous system. That is all documented in the installation guide.

No, you don't lose your configuration settings. And the documentation does describe this scenario. We just did the same thing late last year going from one Unix box to another.

I installed RC on the new box. I created the new repository. It was empty. I followed the migration instructions and went to the old box and unloaded the information from the old repository. I ftp'd the files to the new box and ran the migrate import. Then after you do all of your web stuff, the new RC files will have the same info as the old RC files.

Just because the scenario is not exact, doesn't mean it won't work. Give it a try.
