My Chrome browser just updated from v53.0.2785.143m to Version 54.0.2840.71 m, and all of a sudden I can't run reports inrAppStudio to Chrome or FireFox. When I go to the Output Viewer Settings, select Chrome and click on Test Browser Setup, a new Chrome window opens with a dialog box stating: Webdriver test status Failed to communicate with browser
I am on v8015m of AppStudio.
Has anyone else encountered this? This message has been edited. Last edited by: <Emily McAllister>,

It was Chrome and FireFox related (for the most part). Chrome just needed an updated driver, and FireFox is only supported up to version 47 with AppStudio due to AppStudio implementing the older webdriver system versus the newer geckodriver.exe way.
You can revert back to version 46 by getting and installing it from this link:

When using version FireFox that is later than v47.0.1, the "Test Browser Setup" opens a FireFox page that says "problem Loading Page." After it times out, the following error shows:
After rolling back to FireFox v47.0.1 from v49.0.2 it is working again. You can find any version of FireFox here https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/This message has been edited. Last edited by: Hallway,

What I've been able to determine from my tests: AS attempts to inject an unsigned add-on into the browser and Firefox refuses to accept it.
It seems to me a rather roundabout way to open an URL to begin with... It's probably done like that so that unsaved procedures can be tested as well, but there should be easier ways to achieve that then by injecting an add-on.

So it looks like the issue with FireFox has been corrected in 8201M. I still had v47 of FireFox on my PC due to the deprecated code in 8105M, and after migrating to 8201M, my FireFox stopped working again. So I updated my FF to the latest (54.0.1) and it started working again.
Just FYI for anyone that might be having issues.
