I'm using the following command in my fex to email a message to a user after an ETL process finishes:

!mailx ?s "Verify glparm.txt" jdale@sfchronicle.com < &REPORT1

&REPORT1 is a wp file which ends up being the
message body.

I can't seem to figure out how to get the subject to appear on the email -- Verify gl parm

Thanks,
Jim

jimmer, this is a question rather than an answer, (sorry to give you false hopes), but i've never seen the !mailx command before.
Can you put your system info in your signature in your profile so we know? i tried this command in my win2k environment, and nothing happened.

To execute a unix command from within FOCUS/WebFOCUS, you precede the command with a bang (!) or the word UNIX or -UNIX.

It looks like Unix

Was ?s a typo for -s?

I have not used mailx, but have used elm (some).

Now that I look more closely at the original question, shouldn't the "?s" be "-s"?

I changed from ?s to -s and it worked.

I modified my profile so my signature has the following:

My site:
WebFocus 5.33
Unix Solaris 5.8
DataBase - Oracle 9i2

Thanks for everyone's help.
