As of December 1, 2020, Focal Point is retired and repurposed as a reference repository. We value the wealth of knowledge that's been shared here over the years. You'll continue to have access to this treasure trove of knowledge, for search purposes only.

@vivavox, I'm of the opinion that if the documentation team had more time to do a better job, it wouldn't be so time consuming to find something when you have no idea what the search terms should be. Of all the reference materials for many languages I have to search on a regular basis, the WebFOCUS stuff is by far the hardest to get something useful out of quickly. Of course if you've been doing FOCUS programming since the days of 80 column cards, it must all seem pretty obvious. But to the rest of us it is arcane and counter-intuitive.
I thank all the helpful people here on the forums, because the helpfiles and documentation leave much to be desired.

I have discovered that it is easier to find documentation in the IBI reference material if I use GOOGLE to do my search rather than trying "ADVANCED SEARCH" through IBI. Preface your search with WebFocus. (or Java or HTML, etc)
