We have been using both seperately without any problems but when we try to combine the two we are getting error messages. We can put an ordinary graph in but not one created in the Advanced Graph tool.

Are there any know problems with using the two together?

This is using 7.6.1

Thanks

Doesn't it have something to do with the format that the graph is being saved in?
I seem to remember that the new graph assistant will create a PNG image by default, while the pdf layout painter requires SVG.
I may be totally wrong here, but it's worth investigating if this might be the cause of the problem.

I did this in 760 but I think I had to use SVG as the hold format. Check the doc as I am sure that the format requirement is in there.

FYI, if you are on a Unix platform, the Advanced Graph Assistant is flaky. It is virtually unusable in 762. If you are on Windows, you are ok.

The graph has to be created as a GIF or SVG file. I suggest the SVG file as the text seems to get distorted in GIF format.
