Hi all I have an Excel Template set up with a hidden tab. I have a report that finds that template and populates the hidden tab and that populates the 2 non hidden tabs one with data another with charts. No problems except that I have to enable editing to get the cells to populate.
I would like to avoid this step as I intend to deliver this data via report caster and I don't want to explain/educate the recipients on why that has to be done. I would like them to have a document already completely rendered when they receive it.
FYI after enabling editing it also ask me to enable content.
Is this an excel format issue,? Any Ideas? This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,
This is a MS security feature that Focus can't (and not "allowed" to) bypass.
The MS application security reside on each computer, so it either has to be changed manually on each or can maybe be done using a GPO. But either solutions do not reside in IBI side.

Check out this article that I wrote a few years back.
It might give you a few ideas around using VBScript to post process your output. I used a similar method around 2008 to post process report caster output (> 100 workbooks) and place them on a network drive to which the users had access - I emailed out the link within the report caster job.
Like most things, there is likely to be a method, you just have to be able to work out what that is
