Last week we upgraded our environment to 8201M. Since the upgrade my surface (windows 10) has been freezing and I get the dreaded NOT RESPONDING message. Prior to the upgrade there were not issues, so I am wondering if others are experiencing this problem. I have submitted a ticket, but have yet to get a response, so I thought I would try this avenue.

Product Release: 8.1 Service Pack: 0.5 Version: branch8105m Application Server: Run with Apache Tomcat/8.0.21
Can you check the webconsole to see if it is doing anything on the reporting server end?
We had some issues (although in 8103) where some users of App Studio had to wait very long for, for example, adding a DEFINE. It turned out that AS was repeating the same request to the WFRS over and over for some reason.
Possibly this was related to master files that were referring to an adapter on a database that was no longer in existence.
Other things to investigate are network traffic (using a packet sniffer) and the process stack (process explorer is apparently useful for that). Or, of course, a reporting server trace.
You really should take this up with Tech Support though. If there is an issue, they need to know, or they won't know it needs fixing

Well it turns out that the Keyboard and Handwriting Panel that was running in the background on my Surface Pro 4 was not playing nicely with the 8201M upgrade. Once we disabled the task App Studio started functioning as expected.
