It took an abnormal amount of time to align the text of these form elements. The alignment appears to work in IE 8:



Not aligned in Firefox, Chrome, Opera:



Is there an easy CSS fix for this?

The line-height appears to be the same for both, but the list-boxes have different heights. Perhaps setting the height property of those fixes your problem?

It's also possible that those elements are defined as "display: inline;", which IE happily allows setting geometry properties for, but the other browsers ignore those. In that case, using "display: inline-block" (IIRC) may help. We had to use this trick when applying fixed widths to heading items.
