Hi ,

I started working on WebFOCUS from 8009. In 8009 I was able to create .SQL file and create Master File on top it.

Now I am trying to do the same 8105 but I am not seeing that option to create the .SQL file.

Please help me to find that option in 8105.

Regards,
Prakash

If you have access to the reporting server console, right click the application you want to create the synonym for, pick the database connection and one of the choices at the top is TABLES and VIEWS, change that to external .SQL file. It'll walk you through the rest.

Prakash,

I'm interested in what you're doing here. Does the SQL file contain only an SQL statement, or is there some connection info in there too?

When we try to create the master file using New > Synonym, we get an error "No Candidate Objects found". We're on 8.1.05M.

Thanks,
Rob
