When I run a report that has a SUBHEAD command and uses variables via a HTML/AHTML it works. When I change that report to a EXL07 report, I get an error. It says that Excel foundan unreadable character. I know the error has to do with using this character "<" What would be a better way to get the header to include a field value? Recap?
Below is where I populate the variable and futher down the program I use the ON SUBHEAD command.
I fixed the problem by creating the header information in the synonym by combining the value and text there. So that when I am actually creating the header, all I have to do is graba field. Not try to combine the value and text at the time of creating the header.
