I have a compound report with three reports embedded in it.One of them is a GRAPH in PNG format. I created an output option variable and using it in all the reports.HTML format works great. But when I tried to export it to excel/pdf/ppt its not working. I am getting -
MIME-Version: 1.0 X-Document-Type: Workbook Content-Type: multipart/related; boundary="====Boundary====" --====Boundary==== Content-Location: file:///C:/HOLD.XHT Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" --====Boundary==== Content-Location: file:///C:/IBIT0001.xht Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" -- FOR THE SECOND REPORT WHICH IS A GRAPH
--====Boundary==== Content-Location: file:///C:/IBIT0002.xht Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" - FOR THE FIRST REPORT
--====Boundary====-- FOR THE THIRD REPORT
So, I removed the chart (for testing purpose) and tried with just the 2 reports. It works but for PDF and PPT format, its breaking the columns. The columns which don't fit in the page are being moved to next page. I want all the columns to be on one page.
&OUTPUT could be HTML/EXL2K/PDF/PPT
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT &OUTPUT OPEN -- for the first report ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT &OUTPUT CLOSE-- for the second report
Please advise.
Thank you. KK

You've only got so much real estate when working with printed output. Try setting SQUEEZE=ON, using a smaller font, using WIDTH=to force wrapping in columns, move BY fields into subheadings, decreasing spaces between columns. Hard to give a specific solution without more detail. Also, are you aware that to get graphics into PDF reports, you first need to create the image, hold it (FORMAT PNG, JPG, or whatever) then insert the image into a second report? This technique is described in the documentation.

Darin

Graph works fine for me in a compound report. I'll have to look at the Excel stuff I don't use that very much
