As of December 1, 2020, Focal Point is retired and repurposed as a reference repository. We value the wealth of knowledge that's been shared here over the years. You'll continue to have access to this treasure trove of knowledge, for search purposes only.

User navigates through an OLAP enabled report - gets to a desired view of the data (that is not the same as the default set-up) and wants to save that view so that the next time they run the report, they will not have to go through the process of drilling down and moving field around again.
The current 5.2.x WebFOCUS OLAP does not have that capability, however this is a New Feature for WebFOCUS 5.3.
In 5.3, the user will be able to save their OLAP transformed report as is or even save the modified version with OLAP turned OFF. That way they can distribute the report as a static item.
WebFOCUS 5.3 is scheduled to be released this summer 2004.
