We have a major problem since we upgraded from version 7.6.4 tom version 7.7.3.0, half os the reports are giving error like

(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -802 (HEX: FFFFFCDE)
: [22012] Data conversion or data mapping error.
(FOC1407) SQL FETCH CURSOR ERROR. : SLP05

and also

0 ERROR AT OR NEAR LINE 14 IN PROCEDURE DATES03 FOCEXEC *
(FOC002) A WORD IS NOT RECOGNIZED: MORE
BYPASSING TO END OF COMMAND
(FOC009) INCOMPLETE REQUEST STATEMENT

And also

formula is now showing files name, filenames, field name

Did you do testing of the new verion prior to the upgrade?

I would suggest opening a case with IBI to assist you with these issues.

All upgrades have changes that may cause issues with reports that were working perfectly fine before...that's why testing before the upgrade is so important.

That's a big jump.

Step 1 backup your masters and acx files.
step 2 regenerate all synonyms.
step 3 retest.

For many of the adapters there have been changes in synonym syntax.

That should be the first thing to check.

YKK, you don't mention your target database. It is actually advised to put that info in your signature to better tailor answers.

Anyway, I would suggest you take a careful look at the iWay Adapter manual for your particular database and determine what has changed, what new defaults are in place, etc.

In some cases, it is all a matter of adding a few ENGINE SQLxxx SET ... commands to your edasprof.prf to make sure the adapter behaves as compatible as possible as the one in 7.1.3.

Don't overlook JG's suggestion of backing up your metadata before any changes, but try and see if altering your ENGINE settings will "magically" fix the issues you're facing without the need to re-create all of your synonyms. The latter will still make sense going forward to but you can probably do that on a need basis.

Please do let us know when you resolve the problem.

Best.
