Hi I just installed Developer Studio 716. After I launch the developer Studio, the left panel shows that Projects on localhost disconnected. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Sounds very much like what happened to me, which was a security issue, a while back.

After much back-and-to with IB, I ended up reinstalling, after a thorough clean up of the old installation. Somewhere part of the system thinks it's secure and another part doesn't.

Just to be sure, you might make sure all of the appropriate services are running. On my machine, that means I have to start dev studio, which also launches the extra command window for the server listener. Then I go and start the Tomcat service manually...

Is Dev Studio installed on a machine where a WebFOCUS environment is also installed? If yes, check the properties of the WebFOCUS environment and make sure the correct port is being used. 8080 for Tomcat standalone, 80 for IIS and Tomcat.

I also found that when I was place in the server administrator user group that the disconnected condition disappared.
