Active Report IE Browser Security Settings
Does anyone know what the security settings should be in IE 6.0. We are getting an error when opening the Active Report. It says "This web page is trying to communicate with your computer using a protocall that your security settings will not allow. Click here to continue." When you click there is nothing there. Anyone have any ideas about what the security settings should be? Thanks

Hi pshamburger,

Suggestion from internal: We don’t really have anything documented for Internet Explorer security, but in order to use Active Reports, you will need to set their ActiveX settings to ON in Internet Options.

Also, can you please let us know, are you using HTTPS or HTTP?

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry

Kerry,

I work with Paul and support the WebFOCUS product at the FDIC.

Paul had the report published to his Division's web site and it comes up with no security prompt from IE on the Windows XP box.

Why is the Active Report behaving differently when it's directly distributed to and opened by a user versus if it's published to a web site and opened from there?

Thanks.
