I need to format numbers differently in the same column. I'd like the numbers at the top of the report to be integer and the numbers at the bottom, in grey, to be % with one decimal.
Is there any way to format them differently?
We're using version 7703.
Thanks.

Look for "Applying Dynamically Formatted Virtual Fields to Report Columns" in the documentation, described in the GUI section of the docs, or here:
Creating Reports With WebFOCUS Language > Creating Temporary Fields > Defining a Virtual Field > Applying Dynamically Formatted Virtual Fields to Report Columns

Give me code, or give me retirement. In FOCUS since 1991
Production: WF 7.7.05M, Dev Studio, BID, MRE, WebSphere, DB2 / Test: WF 8.1.05M, App Studio, BI Portal, Report Caster, jQuery, HighCharts, Apache Tomcat, MS SQL Server
BY METRIC_SEQUENCE NOPRINT BY METRIC AS '' ACROSS HIGHEST YEARMONTH AS ''
And when I tried to apply your code to my report:
DEFINE FILE FLOORING_WARRANTY_MONTHLY_SCORECARD_TBL ACTUAL/A8 = IF METRIC EQ '% Opened New Construction' THEN 'P2.1BCS%' ELSE IF METRIC EQ '% Opened Retail' THEN 'P2.1BCS%' ELSE IF METRIC EQ '% Opened Commercial' THEN 'P2.1BCS%' ELSE IF METRIC EQ '% Opened Other' THEN 'P2.1BCS%' ELSE 'P6C' ; END
DEFINE FILE FLOORING_WARRANTY_MONTHLY_SCORECARD_TBL NEWFMT/A8 = IF METRIC EQ '% Opened New Construction' THEN 'P6.1BCS%' ELSE IF METRIC EQ '% Opened Retail' THEN 'P6.1BCS%' ELSE IF METRIC EQ '% Opened Commercial' THEN 'P6.1BCS%' ELSE IF METRIC EQ '% Opened Other' THEN 'P6.1BCS%' ELSE 'P6C' ; END
