Image shows active chart with 3 lines (Sales, RCOST, DCOST) BY COUNTRY I want to control these 3 fields with 3 checkboxes.
Example: If user clicks on SALES check box, then Active chart should display only Sales line. Similarly, if user selects Sales & RCOST check boxes, then Active chart should display only 2 lines and so on..
I would like to know how to achieve this functionality. Is it possible to do in Active Charts?
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
CAR.BODY.SALES
CAR.BODY.RETAIL_COST
CAR.BODY.DEALER_COST
BY LOWEST CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
INCLUDE = endeflt,
$
UNITS=PTS,
$
TYPE=REPORT,
LINES-PER-PAGE=20,
ARGRAPHENGINE=FUSION,
REPORT-VIEW=CHART,
CHART-TYPE=LINE,
$
ENDSTYLE
END

Lucky for you, we can't see what's on your C-drive. In this case it means we can't see that picture you're trying to show us though
WebFOCUS 8.1.03, Windows 7-64/2008-64, IBM DB2/400, Oracle 11g & RDB, MS SQL-Server 2005, SAP, PostgreSQL 11, Output: HTML, PDF, Excel 2010 : Member of User Group Benelux :
You can use FOC_NONE to suppress the unselected verb objects.
-DEFAULT &Sales = 'FOC_NONE';
-DEFAULT &Rcost = 'FOC_NONE';
-DEFAULT &Dcost = 'FOC_NONE';
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
CAR.BODY.SALES AS '&Sales'
CAR.BODY.RETAIL_COST AS '&Rcost'
CAR.BODY.DEALER_COST AS '&Dcost'
BY LOWEST CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY
etc etc
END
Have your launch-page check-boxes send SALES=SALES RCOST=RETAIL_COST DCOST=DEALER_COST when selected; those not selected will default to FOC_NONE, which effectively comments out the line in the TABLE request.
