The .fex files referenced in myprofile.prf look like this... includeApps.fex
WHERE APPNAME EQ 'ibisamp'
includeFiles.fex
WHERE NAME EQ 'CAR' OR 'PERSINFO'
includeFields.fex
WHERE NAME NE 'COUNTRY'
The result is that the only masters visible in InfoAssist (or ReportAssist, etc.) are CAR and PERSINFO. I can use all the fields in either master except COUNTRY.
Here is my question - Let's say I want to exclude the COUNTRY field from CAR but not from PERSINFO. According to this document this is possible - "To limit selections to specific files, use the TBNAME attribute."
However, there is no example of how to do it this way and I can't seem to get it working. Can anybody shed some light on this subject for me?
Thanky kahndly (getting my accent ready for Summit )

That shore-doo look like the same document. Even when I go back and read it again I still caint find any explicit edgy-cation.
However, like you toad me, it has to do with TABLEing the SYSCOLUM master.
Once I started thinking about it in those terms I was able to come up with a idear that works. In dis-hyeer example I am filtering out the entire WARANT segment from the CAR file and I am also filtering out the COUNTRY column from the CAR file yet I am showing all columns from the PERSINFO file.
includeFields.fex
WHERE ((TBNAME EQ 'CAR') AND (SEGNAME NE 'WARANT') AND (NAME NE 'COUNTRY')) OR (TBNAME EQ 'PERSINFO')
I reckon that warnt purt-near as aggervatin as I thunk wadn't it?!
