Hi All, When we generate a Excel spreadsheet it by default opens in Internet Explorer. Is there some way to avoid this and open the excel in MS EXCEL???
That was gr8. Thanks a lot. I have another doubt: I used TITLETEXT attribute in the stylesheet to customise the sheet name. But I dont know how to give a customised name to the workbook itself. It defaults to Wfservlet.xls !!!
and what's worse...you can only have 1 of those servlet things open at a time. Here, we are in an XP environment, and from our self-serv (which is isapi) we use RCXX (right click export to excel) from HTML output. My users LOVE it. They are in total control. Opens directly in excel, and you can have as many open as your computer can handle.

if your users have XP or higher. if you are running self serv (i'm running isapi, i don't know if it works with servlet..it doesn't work from MRE) just click anywhere on your output table click right the menu that billgates pops up for you has Export to Excel as one of its options. click it grin.
