The total length of the IF-statement ( in characters ) seems to have a maximum, can someone please let me know what's the maxinmun number of characters? Thanks! Karin
IF in a filtering condition (similar to WHERE) or as a conditional operator in DEFINE/COMPUTES?
I don't know what the max is or if it's even publicly documented but if you're having trouble with a very long IF you may need to start breaking into more manageable chunks; this could even simplify future maintenance of the code as trying to update a very long and complex IF expression may be too error prone.
