I intend to use WebFOCUS portlets (WebLogic) to integrate certain reports in the WebLogic Portal.
One of my reports is similar to a dashboard. Is it possible to include a dashboard report into a Portlet? If so, please let me know which portlet can I use to achieve this functionality?
I think I wasn't clear in my question. Given my BusinessObjects background, I used the word Dashboard. And I'm new to WebFOCUS.
What I mean by Dashboard is: one or more reports (usually reports at a very high level/summary) taken from disparate sources and displayed within a frame.
I have such a report which I need to display within a portlet. This portlet will be embedded in BEA WebLogic portal. My query is: Is there any WebFOCUS portlet (WebLogic) which I can use to display the kind of dashboard report (as mentioned above)?
I hope I've explained it in a clear way. Please let me know if you need more clarity.
WebFOCUS Open Portal Services provides several portlets to deliver the WebFOCUS functionality you need through the Weblogic portal. The one you may want to use is the Report Portlet. It will give you 3 options:
1) Launch a specific WF report inside the portlet.
2) Display a list of reports that the user can run within the portlet.
3) Display a folder of reports that the user can run within the portlet.
Full documentation is available in the WebFOCUS Open Portal Services Administration Guide V7.1.3
