How we can Make a join between two hold file ??

Fields of join:

Field1 of the 1st hold file : Format 'P4'
Filed2 of the 2nd hold file : Format 'A2V'

If you're creating two HOLD files why not create columns with a common format? For the first HOLD file, use the PTOA function to convert your P4 column. For the second HOLD file, reformat the column to A4, COLUMN2/A4.

The one othere thing needed when joining hold files is to sort both files by the join keys, unless they are FOCUS files with the join key indexed.

When i run the report i have this error message :

"WebFOCUS was called with an invalid request."

Any idea ??

Yes it's solved , thank you Martin.

The solution is to convert the Filed2 of the 2nd hold file to Decimal "D4" and after and then i converted to Packed "P4" .
