Has anyone has established some sort of connection between webfocus and salesforce.com? Based on my research lately, what I'm seeing is that I am able to extract information from salesforce.com easily using iWay salesforce.com adaptor. How about upload .csv file and create report based on the .csv file?
I'm looking into a way for our salesrep to access their sales information in salesforce.com. Rather than upload 50 different reports to each individual rep 50 times, is there a way to upload one file and each salesrep will get an unique version of their own based on email address split or something? We do not want to upload one file to everyone because not every salesrep want to share their sales information with other rep.
Any ideas?

In the current production WebFOCUS Release 7.7.03 you can indeed retrieve data from salesforce.com using the the IWAF (iWay Adapter Framework) Salesforce adapter.
Once you have added the adapter and configured a connection to your sfdc account, you can create synonyms that let you retrieve data from any sfdc business object. You can use DataMigrator to extract the data to a database your system for reporting, or use WebFOCUS to report directly from sfdc.
To upload a csv file to an sfdc business object you can use the sfdc Data Loader. Or you can create synonyms to update and/or insert data to sfdc business objects and then use DataMigrator to load the data.
With sfdc each salesrep can control access to their own data.
If you are looking for a way to distribute data by email for each salesrep, the Report Caster would let you do that. However I must defer to others more knowledgeable then I on that subject to respond.
