I'm trying to delete a file at the beginning of every run. I found this simple code through the forum but doesent seem to work.

APP DELETEF Prod/BIDOUT2.dat

Keep getting this error - (FOC224) SYNTAX ERROR: DELETEF Prod/BIDOUT2.dat

Any ideas?

The syntax is 

APP DELETEF[ILE] app[/appna...] {filename|*} filetype


where:

appn[/appa...]
Is the application from which the component or component type is being deleted. Nested application names are supported.

filename
Is the name of the component to be deleted. Use an asterisk (*) to delete all files of type filetype.

filetype
Is the component type, in uppercase, of the component to be deleted.

Your command should be 

APP DELETEF Prod BIDOUT2 DATA
