I would like to create a synonym for a table in my oracle database. This table so_sales_credits is owned by schema oe. If I log on to the database as user genuser I can query this table (select * from oe.so_sales_credits;) and I see results.
We connect to our oracle database from webfocus with the genuser account. When I attempt to create a synonym I filter by Object name = on the first step and click Next. I can see the table in the results, and in the results the owner is shown as OE. I check the checkbox next to this table and click the Create Synonym button. This is when I receive the error:
In our oracle database we do have a synonym for this table called apps.so_sales_credits but this table does not appear in the results when I attempt to create the synonym. I have also tried creating a public synonym for this table but that does not help the issue.
I am using Application Studio (8.0.0.8) to produce this error.
Any help would be appreciated.
