how to limit date only on current day? Should I do this under the Developer studion ---> where/if tab, using function today(),but I tried it did not work. Thanks.
What is the format of your date field? Is it HYYMDS? if it is, the TODAY function doesn't work and its HGETC(length, outfield) to get the current date.
ex. MODDATE/HYYMDS = HGETC(8, 'HYYMDS');
you can try that to get the current date for comparision purposes.
GUI... hmm.. I actually havn't used report painter too much but it involves first creating a DEFINE of the table you are using. In there you create the new field CRDATE format "YYMD" with text: "HDATE(MODDATE, 'YYMD')"
after that, you can go in Report Painter, amd click on the If/Where button and creating a new If expression "CRDATE EQ &YYMD".
