I am wanting to use a live date in my Excel file that is generated via the Report Caster. I was hoping I could just reference it in the "Save Report As" section, for example:
Save Report As = "Orders &V_ORDER_DATE"
&V_ORDER_DATE is populated in my report fex, but the Excel file I receive is called "Orders &V_ORDER_DATE.xls"
We are running version 5.35.
I found this old thread that was asking pretty much the same thing, but thought I would create a new one as the original query was from January 2005:
There have been a few more recent threads liek this as well, but still not a way to do it like you describe. You could, however, build a dynamic distribution list which would only have the burst values in it (could have one or many) and include a high-level BY (for order date) in the report. Then when RC runs the report and bursts it, it would include the burst value in the name of the file.
Regards,
Darin
