since you can't embed a true IMAGE into Excel, the EXL2K TEMPLATE solution is probably the only one, that'll allow you to distribute an Excel spreadsheet with the GRAPH embedded.
Of cause you can embed an image into an excel file
DEFINE FILE CAR
IMAGE/A200='<img src=http://wfhost:port/approot/ibisamp/smplogo1.gif>';
END
TABLE FILE CAR
HEADING
"<IMAGE>"
" "
" "
" "
SUM
DEALER_COST
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
END
What does not work are the style attributes that would normally be in the image tag so positioning is an issue. To get around this use compound EXL2K output.
but this doesn't actually EMBED the image, EMBED being an excel reserved word. With the method you're using (as an html img tag), the image floats and doesn't control the height of the row its in. With this method, height and/or width attributes work fine.
