I'm trying to get the x y mouse coordinates for a mobile browser (e.g. iPad) when a user taps on a marker in a Google Map.
For the desktop browser, I have a onmousemove event on the body, which enables me to get the x y coordinates and then position my drilldown next to the point when the user clicks on a marker in a Google Map. However, I could not figure out how to get the x y mouse coordinates when the user taps on a marker.
I have tried to capture the event via both the onclick event and the ontouchstart event. However, I think that I am unable to capture the actual tap event correctly and have tried:
var e=window.event();
I tried both touches and targetTouches:
var touch=e.touches[0];
var touch=e.targetTouches[0];
To capture the coordinates, I used:
var mouse_x=touch.pageX;
var mouse_y=touch.pageY;
Thank you in advance for your suggestions. ~JLThis message has been edited. Last edited by: <Kathryn Henning>,
