Is there a way to automatically save a master file/synonym into a document (like pdf) that would provide nice overview: - what is the data used in synonym, source tables - what fields from source tables are used - what Titles are used - what Descriptions are used - what calculated fields are defined - how are tables joined?
I know in from using SAP BusinessObjects universes (similar to WF masterfiles) that universe designer was able to save universe descriptions into more or less technical overviews, easy-readable pdf documents already 10 years ago.
You can TABLE SYSTABLE and SYSCOLUM to create your own reports about master files (or their underlying tables really).
Another option is CHECK FILE &MASTERFILE HOLD and then TABLE the resulting HOLD file.
You can use any output format supported by WF for that, and styling etc.
